“For day by day men came to David to help him, until there was a great army like the army of God.” (1 Chr 12:22)
David didn’t spend all his time trying to figure out how to build an army and usurp the kingdom from Saul. Instead, David decided to be a good man, live by faith, and the LORD sent him an army and gave him a kingship.
Be who you ought to be and the LORD will provide the army when you need the help. Choose character over conquest.
