You Don’t Know Nothin’

“Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.” (Proverbs 26:12)

The only thing worse than a man that knows nothing is a man that thinks he knows everything.

Read the previous eleven verses of Proverbs 26 and you will see exactly how repulsive a fool and useless a fool is… and yet, verse 12 says there is one thing worse: a man who is wise in his own eyes.

The man who thinks he has it all figured out is the least prepared to live life.  “I don’t know.”, “I was wrong.”, “Can you help?”, and “Please teach me.” are the phrases of true wisdom.

Don’t be fooled by the know-it-all… he’s already fooling himself.
