“But now he has died; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me.” (2 Sam 12:23)
When David’s son was sick – he prayed. When David’s son died – he became very focused on making sure that they would be reunited in eternity. Every child that dies goes to heaven. Not every adult does.
Grief is a horrible, emptying thing… but for David, it was also a reminder to fight the good fight and hang on to hope.
