“Guard your steps as you go to the house of God and draw near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools; for they do not know they are doing evil.” (Ecclesiastes 5:1)
Perhaps the greatest cause of religious confusion is the sincerely wrong ideas of ignorant. We worship God how we please because we do not stop to listen to Him.
How can one have faith in what He does not understand. A man that professes faith in Jesus and yet never once stops to read the Scriptures that explain who He is fools both himself and others. A false teacher need not be mean-spirited to lead people astray – he need only be unaware of the truth.
True faith in God can only be found through the study of His Word. Our opinions only lower a veil over the gospel and replace true Christianity with a self-made religion.
