Course Description

This is a core course for Biblegrad.com and is a prerequisite for many classes.  This class is for the beginner to intermediate Bible student.  It is a survey of the New Testament, its outline, history, and major themes.

At the end of this course, students will be able to outline the New Testament, articulate the major phases of Jesus’ life and ministry, outline the history of the early church, place the various letters of Paul into the context of his life and ministry, and understand the major themes of all the books in the New Testament.

Course Materials:

A good, trustworthy Bible translation.  NKJV, NASB, and ESV are all good options.  A basic Bible map or atlas will be helpful as well.  For more information on why a word-for-word translation is so important, see our video tutorial below. Most Bibles come with basic maps in the back that will suffice.  If not, a good resource for high-quality online Bible maps is http://www.bible.ca/maps/.
