You’re Never Alone

“A father of the fatherless and a judge for the widows is God in His holy habitation. God makes a home for the lonely…” (Ps 68:5-6)

This world is fractured and loss is woven into the very fabric of our lives. Many children look from the outside in and yearn for a home where Mom and Dad love each other. The ache of growing up in a home affected by divorce often tumbles fully into our adulthood.

Others have their spouse die in the prime of life and the heart is left empty and torn, feeling like half of you has mysteriously disappeared leaving the widow alone with their tears and grief.

Sin, death, and loss create voids in our lives – big, gaping, tremendous holes in our hearts and homes.

And yet, God can be a father to those who yearn for a loving parent. He can provide love and support for the widow who is left alone. He can build a home for those whose home has been broken apart.

The answer to grief is a loving God who wipes away tears and knows the sorrows of our heart. In Him, there is hope.

You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book? (Ps 56:8)
