The Bible leaves no room for arrogance and pride in our hearts but it also doesn’t let us live with self-loathing or torment ourselves with self-hatred.
You aren’t the center of the universe, but you are God’s beloved. Your Father is the Creator of the world and you are made in His image. Treat yourself like someone that matters. Do what is in your best interest and for your good. Wake up every morning as a child of the King that knows they are loved, safe, protected, and are meant to live here as a light in the darkness.
So, chin up. You matter.
“I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me: and that life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself up for me.” (Gal 2:20)
