“When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation.” (Pr 10:25)
What is the difference between the righteous man and the wicked? It is like the difference between being in a house during a hurricane or being in a boat. You might lose all your stuff and suffer great loss if you’re in the house, but you’ll live to talk about it.
Life is full of storms and the book of Proverbs doesn’t avoid that hard truth. It will be hard; you will be scared, and you will suffer losses. Choose integrity and you’ll live to tell about it.
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.” (Matt 7:24-25)
