Waiting is Hard

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but desire fulfilled is a tree of life.” (Pr 13:12)

Waiting is hard.  It is hard on your heart and it will dig deep into the soil of your soul… but waiting is also really, really good for you because of those same things.

The churning, the deep heartache, and  the turmoil are exactly the sort of things that make the joy of the desire fulfilled so rewarding and wonderful.  If it wasn’t hard to wait for, you wouldn’t be grateful when you received it.

The hard things in life take time to grow and endurance to see them through.  Heaven is worth the wait and the tasks worth persevering for down here are, too.
