“And I discovered more bitter than death the woman whose heart is snares and nets, whose hands are chains. One who is pleasing to God will escape from her, but the sinner will be captured by her.” (Ecclesiastes 7:26)
The antidote to toxic people is pleasing God. If God is your number one priority, there isn’t room for you to be manipulated and abused long-term.
Evil people will figure out they need to find another target when they realize your morals aren’t malleable.
