“Do not hold back discipline from the child, although you strike him with the rod, he will not die.” (Proverbs 23:13)
How many times must God listen to our howls as He disciplines us? How many times do we cry to Him that it is too much to endure only to later realize that these earthly pangs are exactly what our souls needed?
Our children are just like His children. We believe we will die, only to later realize that the rod only drove away our character flaws.
Don’t be afraid to discipline. They’ll thank you later.
