They Called It Unsinkable

“The arrogance of your heart has deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rock, in the loftiness of your dwelling place, who say in your heart, ‘Who will bring me down to earth?’

‘Though you build high like the eagle, though you set your nest among the stars, from there I will bring you down,’ declares the LORD.” (Obadiah 1:2-3)

The Titanic was labeled the unsinkable ship, and Edom believed itself to be the unconquerable nation.  History tells us both labels were wrong.

Safety is a fickle thing and security is merely an illusion without God.  The greatest of nations and the strongest of strongholds eventual of torn down.  You cannot eternal safeguard yourself with temporary earthly thing.  Invest in spiritual protection instead.

“The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.” (Proverbs 21:31)
