Speak Where the Bible Speaks

“But Micaiah said, ‘As the LORD lives, what the LORD says to me, that I shall speak.’ ” (1 Kings 22:14)

What made the new difference between God’s prophets and false prophets? False prophets say what the people want to hear – the true prophets said only what God said.

The days of prophets are over, but today we, teachers are left with the same fork in the road.  Will we say what brings in the crowds or will we teach only the Scriptures.  If there isn’t a verse for it, we shouldn’t say it.  Let us speak where the Bible speaks and be silent where it is silent.

“If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God…” (1 Peter 4:11)
