Righteous Intimidation

“Now Saul was afraid of David, for the LORD was with him, but had departed from Saul.” (1 Sam 18:12)

Worldliness hates godliness, but it also fears it. Worldliness is hungry and unsatisfied and therefore fears those who aren’t anxious and show contentment with their lot.

Those who offer bribes fear those who can’t be bought and those that give into their lusts are intimidated by those that can control them. Godliness is powerful and the wicked loath a person of conviction.

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:21)
