“In return for my love they act as my accusers; but I am in prayer. Thus they have repaid me evil for good and hatred for my love.” (Ps 109:4-5)
Christ’s love is not a business transaction. We don’t merely provide love to those who will reciprocate. Christians must choose to pray for those who despise us and love when every fiber of our fleshly-self wishes to lash out.
We aren’t here to get our fair share. We are here to extend His grace and light to a world full of darkness and deception. Keep your eyes on the prize folks. It isn’t fair – it is grace.
Choose to serve the truth in love and don’t worry about the repayment.
“but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, even Christ;” (Eph 4:15)
