Life’s Close Calls

“LORD, make me to know my end and what is the extent of my days; let me know how transient I am.” (Ps 39:4)

If you’ve never had a “life-flashing before your eyes” moment, you are missing out. There is nothing like feeling a ladder base dangerously wobble while you are two stories up to give perspective.

“It wouldn’t take much to kill me” is the lesson that vehicular close-calls, anxious hours waiting for blood test results, and rattlesnakes in unexpected places have a way of telling us.

Don’t ignore life’s close-calls. Learn from them.

“And inasmuch as it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this cometh judgment; so Christ also, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time, apart from sin, to them that wait for him, unto salvation.” (Heb 9:27-28)
