It’s Just a Matter of Time

“Although a sinner does evil a hundred times and may lengthen his life, still I know that it will be well for those who fear God, who fear Him openly.” (Ecclesiastes 8:12)

The builder that cuts corners will build his house faster and cheaper, but without a foundation it is doomed to fall eventually.  Don’t confuse short-term prosperity with long-term success.

Sin is meant to be a quick fix for our problems.  Adultery will bring the thrill back to your love life until it destroys your family.  Dishonesty will help you get ahead until no one trusts you anymore and you are left all alone.  Selfishness makes sure we get what we want until we have everything but love, joy, and family.

Don’t ignore your sins because they haven’t destroyed you yet.  Weed them out and be thankful for the time we’ve been blessed with to do so.
