“They buried him in the city of David among the kings because he had done well in Israel and to God and His house.” (2 Chronicles 24:16)
Jehoiada received a royal burial, even though he wasn’t a king because he had done three things. He did well by God, he did well by his family, and he did well by his country.
A man that can stand by his Creator, love his wife and raise godly children, all while living as a productive law-abiding citizen with a sense of patriotic duty to country… if we could fill the ranks of the church with such as these, there would be no shortage of good that could be achieved to the glory of God.
