Extreme Weather

“He gives snow like wool; He scatters the frost like ashes.  He casts forth His ice as fragments; who can stand before His cold?” (Psalm 147:16-17)

If the Earth is too hot, then all life ceases to exist.  If the Earth is too cold, then all life ceases to exist.  We see the power of hot and cold in places like the Saharan desert or the Antarctic – extreme temperature creates a desolation of life.

Yet a sunny day is beautiful and cheering to the soul and the quiet tranquility of a snowy winter afternoon is full of wonder.  We enjoy these things because He controls them.  We enjoy this world because He made it and saw that it was good.

It is His design that makes this world worth living in… and it is His design for you that will make your life worth living, too.  His Word protects us from the extremes of our own humanity.
