Aged to Perfection

“And even when I am old and gray, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come.” (Ps 71:18)

We’ve been given a whole lifetime to declare the LORD to our generation. Evangelism shouldn’t stop with our youth. We are privileged to be guarded and protected by God through every stage of life. Our zeal for Him and His work should grow with time, not diminish.

Paul as a young man when he obeyed the gospel (Acts 7:58), but he was still writing letters to the churches when they started calling him “Paul the aged” (Phm 1:9). Heaven is retirement, and in terms of eternity, even an old man is still a babe.

He won’t forsake you in your old aged – neither should we forsake glorifying Him.
