A Time for Silence

“Like one who takes off a garment on a cold day, or like vinegar on soda, is he who sings songs to a troubled heart.” (Proverbs 25:20)

Heavy hearts need quiet friends that can commiserate and listen.  Stop telling people to cheer up and feel better – that never works.

If you want to alienate people, tell them that their emotions are wrong.  If you want to help people, stop and listen to their hearts before you talk.
