“Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant and praise is becoming.” (Psalm 147:1)
When Christians sing praises to God, it is a good thing. It is beautiful to hear the voices of the saints raised in worship. It is beautiful because it is a glimpse of how things ought to be. Grateful hearts, committed voices, and God honored above all else.
Gratitude, worship, and the honor of God – are not these three things the very essence of what humanity needs most?
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” (Colossians 3:16)
